Founded in 1935 as the first of its kind in Switzerland, the Lake Thun Sailing School is now the largest in the country. It owes its size to highly trained instructors, state-of-the-art teaching methods and, of course, the unique wind conditions of Lake Thun.

The St. Beatus Caves are a unique family experience on Lake Thun. They are one of the best known and most popular excursion destinations in Switzerland! Explore around one kilometer of the Niederhorn massif on a well-maintained and illuminated path. Discover stalactites and stalagmites that were formed over millions of years and dive into this unique natural world under the earth.
The course has character. In addition to numerous attractions concerning the game of golf, this course is also not “without” in other respects. A unique view of the mountain landscape and the largest solid wood building in Switzerland, in which the clubhouse and restaurant are located, give the course its exceptional character. A paradise for beginners and advanced players.
The Swiss pyramid on Lake Thun. The Niesen, 2362 metres high, is probably the best-known mountain on Lake Thun. Various hiking trails from all sides lead you up to the Niesen. Combine your hiking trip with a ride on the Niesenbahn (hiking ticket) and a visit to the Berghaus Niesen Kulm.
At 1950 m above sea level, the Niederhorn impresses with a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding mountains and the deep blue Lake Thun. Escape from everyday life and secure yourself a box seat far above the fog line. Experience action on the downhill ride with the scooter-bike or varied hikes through the impressive natural landscape.

Experience in an impressive way how the naturally warm water from the Lötschberg is used to grow tropical fruits in our tropical garden and to produce real sturgeon caviar in our fish farm, one of the most exclusive foods in the world!

Hünegg Castle is no ordinary museum. Its furnishings have remained unchanged since 1900. It seems as if the former inhabitants are returning at any moment. The stately home is set in an enchanting park with old trees.

The solar boat “Schönbühl” is an 8.40m long catamaran that is powered by solar energy. With its 2x 5.7 kW electric motors, it is the ideal boat for evening tours, aperitifs, regatta visits and summer swimming on the lake.
The boat offers space for 12 people (incl. skipper). Generous furnishings and seating make the trip a unique experience. We are happy to organize your snack or an aperitif according to your wishes.
